Martina is a versatile classically trained vocalist. A mezzo-soprano with a four-octave range, she imbues her heart into each song and performance, inviting the listener to activate their hearts and artists within. She sings in English, French and Spanish in a variety of genres, specializing in jazz and rock. She has performed in numerous music festivals, from classical to pop, and opened for artists such as Shaggy and Billy Joel, and has performed at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City, the Riverbank Ramble, Alive @ Five, and Harbor Point in Stamford, CT. Martina had a residency at Tuesday Night Live Jazz at Villa Italia Restaurant in Stamford, CT.
Martina is at home on a large stage in front of thousands just as she is tucked into a cozy corner of a restaurant transporting guests to the cafes of Paris and the beaches of Ipanema with her performance. Martina sings pop and jazz with the Jibaro Pop Trio in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and fronts Chasing Romeo, a rock cover band in Fairfield County, CT. She is also a session singer and has worked on audio and video recording projects with the Orfeon San Juan Bautista and the indie rock band, Mongolian Monkfish.
